Job Purpose

  • Participate in the development and implementation of Nuclear Procurement Engineering (NPE) processes, policies and procedures.
  • Support core engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation and control) in performance of Nuclear Procurement Engineering (NPE) activities.

Catalogue Development

  • Contribute to the development of component Bill of Materials to ensure procurement readiness.
  • Provide support for the development and maintenance of all NSE data including material masters in SAP to enable efficient inventory queries.
  • Support the identification and cataloguing of critical spares to ensure all materials are accounted for in the inventory.
  • Perform data collection and cleansing processes in NSE to prepare for the review and validate fidelity of records.

Product Development

  • Perform NPE evaluations with oversight provided from qualified NSE for material and services to determine the safety class, technical and quality requirements, and storage requirements for generic specifications.
  • Conduct walkdowns to assist in Procurement Evaluations and to obtain as built information to support parts availability.
  • Gather Data from Quality Verification Documents (QVD) for MM evaluations and compare to as installed information to address configuration management discrepancies.

Supply Chain Support

  • Apply resolutions of technical discrepancies identified during material receipt inspection to ensure operational excellence.
  • Conduct walkdown of Inventory in Warehouse to help address material issues as well as OSP/CSP stock duplications.
  • Support Over, Short, Damage, Discrepant (OSDD) defect report resolution and Non Conformance Report (NCR) disposition.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma (or Equivalent) Degree in Engineering or related Science.
  • 2 years of experience.
  • Preferably 3 years of operating commercial Nuclear Plant experience.
  • Member of the Charter Institute of Purchasing & Supply (MCIPS) or other procurement qualifications.
