Position Overview:
We’re looking for a Non-Ferrous Processor to join our growing team at CFT Recycling . This role is ideal for someone with experience in construction or other hands-on labour environments who enjoys working with tools and equipment. You’ll be responsible for sorting, handling, and processing various metals, while ensuring a safe, organized, and efficient worksite every day.
The starting wage for this position is $22-24 per hour depending on your skills and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet, direct, and support customers during unloading to ensure safety and efficiency.
Inspect incoming loads for ferrous, non-ferrous metals, tires and deductions to ensure proper identification and sorting.
Communicate clearly with customers and coordinate with the scale house team.
Maintain accurate understanding of materials and proper handling.
Maintain and sweep the shred pad; ensure work areas remain safe and tidy.
Assist with offloading and facilitate material movement when required.
Operate equipment (loader, forklift, skid steer) as needed
Support general site operations in an outdoor, physically active environment
Perform basic computer-related tasks as part of daily operations and documentation
Qualifications:
3-5 years+ experience in construction, general labour, or similar hands-on work environments is considered a strong asset.
