Networking Engineer (L2)

Requirements

• Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4-6 years of professional experience as an L2 Networking Engineer or in a similar operational role.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, OSPF, BGP, STP, HSRP/VRRP).
• Hands-on experience with configuring and troubleshooting equipment from leading network vendors (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto ).
• Solid understanding of network security concepts and tools (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS).
• Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark).
• Basic understanding of cloud networking concepts (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud preferred).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical issues clearly.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, 24x7 operational environment and handle pressure situations.
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, Fortinet NSE 4, JNCIA ) are highly preferred.
