The Internal Services Department (ISD), Information Technology Shared Services Division (ITSS) is currently seeking a Network Systems Administrator II to fill a vacancy in the Field Services Section. This position will act as the team lead and serve as the tier 3 liaison between CAC and ITSS for Incident Management and Service Request as well as work closely with the engineering teams to assist with the implementation of various initiatives and projects. Also, serve as the single point of contact, core individual, to identify, coordinate, and document resolution of IT complex problems to reduce the amount of client wait time for IT resolution. Performs network and administrative functions, including configuring, installing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading hardware and operating systems. Troubleshoots, researches, diagnoses and resolves hardware, software and network systems problems; makes adjustments, installs patches and performs tuning; escalates network problems as necessary. Work with ISD technical teams (Network team, Desktop team, Security team and Exchange team) to test and to schedule product deployment such as Network upgrades, New Operating Systems, Microsoft Office Products and computer systems upgrade. Serve as the tier 3 liaison between CAC and ITSS for Incident Management and Service Request. Administration of enterprise desktop and asset management systems including Intune, Tanium and Jamf. Testing of base system images for both Windows and Mac operating system platforms. Development and testing of application packages. Able to read and understand basic script commands such as DOS and PowerShell. Monitors network performance; provides on-site support, and reports problems according to established procedures. Assist in on-site rollout projects and participate in department wide large projects (Hardware/software deployments, installation and upgrades etc.) Assists project teams with testing and implementing new process (including validating user manuals, procedures, and other instructional materials). Analyze end-user problems related to computer systems, networks, WiFi and applications and apply a full range of corrective actions. Troubleshoots, research, diagnoses, repairs, and resolves hardware, software, and network problems in the field at customer sites. Updates network software and as directed by senior technical staff, either manually or through automated toolsets. Uses network monitoring and testing tools to gather information needed to troubleshoot network systems problems or to provide health and statistical reporting for internal or customer use. Works with customer department and staff to gather requirements, perform end-user testing, solicit feedback, and convey status information while providing field or on-site network support. Develops and maintains accurate and up-to-date system documentation and records. Reports problems and documents actions through the regular use of electronic trouble ticket systems; monitors and receives work assignments through assigned trouble ticket queues and/or field dispatch.
