This apprenticeship combines professional training with real working experience at F5.
The opportunity is for a Network Engineer Apprentice working with a dynamic, highly technical engineering team.
The role offers exposure to F5 technologies and potential progression into support or other technical careers.
Day to Day You Will
- Learn about F5 solutions and the F5 technology stack.
- Reproduce and test real-world scenarios in F5 laboratories.
- Configure and troubleshoot F5 technologies through hands-on work.
- Work with virtual environments and set up VLANs.
- Diagnose and fix network issues.
- Learn and assist with internetworking and data centre operations, WAN operations, network protocols, and customer support activities.
Skills Developed
- Hands-on experience with WAN operations, network protocols, TCP/IP, the OSI Model, Linux, network analysis tools, and VMware.
- Exposure to network security concepts including web application security, AAA, VPN, DDoS, malware, and application firewalls.
- Development of troubleshooting, customer handling, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Expected Skills and Behaviours
- Keen to learn with logical and creative thinking skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Good verbal and written communication across varied situations.
- At least a basic understanding of Linux.
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility.
- Thorough and organized approach to work.
Program Outcomes
The program provides comprehensive network basics, coaching in computer network communications, and practical training in real-world scenarios.
The apprentice will develop skills for customer calls, industry certification preparation, and F5-related networking technology tasks.
