The employer is seeking a Network Security Engineer on a contract basis.
The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network infrastructure to protect against cyber threats.
The engineer will monitor network traffic, analyze security incidents, and help ensure compliance with security policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection and prevention systems.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
- Monitor network traffic for anomalies and respond to security incidents in real time.
- Develop and enforce network security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into network architecture.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in network security engineering or a similar role.
- Proficiency configuring and managing SIEM, IDS/IPS, and firewall security tools.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols, and network infrastructure.
- Experience with penetration testing, threat analysis, and incident response.
Compensation
- The contract role pays $30-$90 per hour.
