Network Engineer

BAM is seeking an innovative, driven self-starter for a Network Engineer position with a focus on observability and automation. This technical role requires advanced engineering experience in implementing, automating and monitoring a highly available global network infrastructure. The hire will have the opportunity to work on a wide array of networking technologies providing leading edge solutions to the firm. The candidate will embody a mindset of continuous learning and process improvement. A basic understanding of financial markets and trade lifecycles is a plus.

• Develop capabilities to manage the network at scale through automation and comprehensive monitoring and alerting.

• Design, implement and maintain a multi-vendor global trading network.

• Work closely with technology and investment teams to understand their requirements and provide solutions that align with business needs.

• Define and implement standards and best practices.

• Act as an escalation point for troubleshooting network issues.

• Participate in a 24/7 on call rotation and out of hours network maintenance.

• An ambitious self-starter, hungry and driven to learn.

• Genuine interest in network observability.

• Possess a strong desire to solve problems with automation and self-service.

• Able to multitask and excel in a high-pressure, fast-paced trading environment.

• Able to work well under minimal supervision to complete projects and tasks on time.

• Able to think independently to develop quick and sound solutions to complex problems.

• A strong and efficient communicator and collaborator.

• Experience working with enterprise voice products including Cisco CUCM, WebEx Calling, Cloud9.

• Knowledge of Cisco ISE, Meraki
