Network Engineer (Hybrid Infrastructure & Cloud)

Job Purpose

Network and Security Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain network and security infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Perform device maintenance, firmware upgrades, hardening, hotfixes, and security configuration changes.
• Apply configuration and change management policies to network infrastructure changes.
• Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures with the security team.
• Identify vulnerabilities, support penetration testing, monitor performance, and provide level-2 and level-3 troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with vendors and customer IT personnel and maintain complete network and system documentation.

Cloud Management and Governance

• Design and maintain secure Azure and hybrid cloud network architectures using virtual networks, subnets, NSGs, route tables, VPN gateways, and ExpressRoute.
• Enforce IP addressing, segmentation, security zoning, network isolation, traffic control, firewall, and access-control standards.
• Monitor cloud network usage, optimize routing and bandwidth, and support secure connectivity and least-privilege models.
• Participate in architecture reviews for network resiliency, scalability, and high availability.
