  • Salary: CAD 3,189.98 to CAD 4,379.96 bi weekly (CAD 83,258 CAD 114,316 per year)

Role Responsibilities

  • Monitoring, operation and maintenance of Microsoft 365 applications, Azure directory and cloud services along with courts systems
  • Perform evaluation of new technologies and products and may provide second line desktop support
  • Responsible for life cycle management of computer network, services, and storage equipment
  • Provide computer systems related technical expertise to both Court Technology Services and Court Business staff
  • Coordinate maintenance agreements including renewals
  • Provide supporting information for network system procurements
  • Travel to support both the Calgary and Edmonton data centers as well as base and rural court house network equipment
  • Participate in the on call rotation and be able to respond to critical or high severity alerts after hours

Qualifications

  • University graduation in Computer Science or a related discipline, plus two years of directly related experience
  • Thorough knowledge of computer science concepts and methodologies
  • Knowledge of network routing protocols specifically related to (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), as well as knowledge of SDWAN, Firewalls, Wi Fi, 802.1x, and Zero Trust technology
  • Knowledge of Government / Courts IT policies and legislation
  • Understanding of project management concepts and processes
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, take direction, mentor junior employees
  • Strong communication skills

Notes

  • This is a full time permanent position located in Calgary.
  • Hours of Work: Monday – Friday, 36.25 hours per week.
  • Location: Calgary Court Centre 601 5 St. SW, Calgary, AB T2P 5P7.
  • Security screening is required.
  • The position requires candidate to work in office. Hybrid or remote work is not available.
