Responsibilities
- Monitor, operate and maintain Microsoft 365 applications, Azure directory and cloud services along with courts systems
- Perform evaluation of new technologies and products
- Responsible for life cycle management of computer network, services, and storage equipment
- Provide computer systems related technical expertise to Court Technology Services and Court Business staff
- Coordinate maintenance agreements including renewals
- Provide supporting information for network system procurements
- Travel to support Calgary and Edmonton data centers and rural courthouse network equipment as required
- Participate in on call rotation and respond to critical or high severity alerts after hours
Requirements
- University graduation in Computer Science or a related discipline
- Two years of directly related experience
- Thorough knowledge of computer science concepts and methodologies
- Knowledge of network routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP)
- Knowledge of SDWAN, Firewalls, Wi Fi, 802.1x, and Zero Trust technology
- Expert experience with Microsoft 365 applications highly desired
- Microsoft certification, Cisco Certification (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE), Fortinet certification considered assets

- Salary: CAD 3,189.98 to CAD 4,379.96 bi weekly (CAD 83,258 CAD 114,316 per year)
Role Responsibilities

- Responsible for life cycle management of computer network, services, and storage equipment
- Provide computer systems related technical expertise to both Court Technology Services and Court Business staff
- Coordinate maintenance agreements including renewals
- Provide supporting information for network system procurements
- Travel to support both the Calgary and Edmonton data centers as well as base and rural court house network equipment
- Participate in the on call rotation and be able to respond to critical or high severity alerts after hours
Qualifications
- University graduation in Computer Science or a related discipline, plus two years of directly related experience
- Thorough knowledge of computer science concepts and methodologies
- Knowledge of network routing protocols specifically related to (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), as well as knowledge of SDWAN, Firewalls, Wi Fi, 802.1x, and Zero Trust technology
- Knowledge of Government / Courts IT policies and legislation
- Understanding of project management concepts and processes
- Ability to work well in a team environment, take direction, mentor junior employees
- Strong communication skills

- This is a full time permanent position located in Calgary.
- Hours of Work: Monday – Friday, 36.25 hours per week.
- Location: Calgary Court Centre 601 5 St. SW, Calgary, AB T2P 5P7.
- Security screening is required.
- The position requires candidate to work in office. Hybrid or remote work is not available.
