NDT Technician

With a strong foundation in minerals processing, Sedgman continues to grow and expand into new industries and services.

Based in Paget, this hands-on role offers plenty of variety.

You'll work across a range of client sites throughout Mackay and the Bowen Basin, carrying out inspections, testing and reporting to help keep plant and equipment operating safely and reliably.

You'll enjoy the autonomy to manage your own workload, build strong relationships with clients and help shape a growing area of the business.

No two days are the same.

You'll have the flexibility to travel to client sites as required, with a company vehicle provided.

• Plan and carry out NDT inspections across a range of equipment and assets.
• Inspect boilers, pressure vessels, piping, tanks and associated equipment.
• Use a range of NDT methods including UT, MT, PT, RT and visual inspection.
• Identify defects and help clients maintain safe and reliable operations.
• Prepare inspection reports and communicate findings with clients.

Who are you?

• AICIP and NDT certified.
• API 653 certification highly regarded.
• Experienced, reliable and able to work independently.
• Sound knowledge of inspection codes, standards and pressure equipment inspection requirements.
• Flexible, customer-focused and willing to travel to site when required.
