Consultancy Overview

UNICEF is seeking a national consultant for a youth empowerment assignment supporting child and adolescent participation in SDG advocacy.

The assignment is home based and stated to run for three months under a token-free contract valued at 1 USD.

The work supports UNICEF collaboration with SCMC under the 2026 Annual Work Plan.

Assignment Responsibilities

  • Provide technical advice to the SDG club and ambassadors initiative mobilized by SCMC.
  • Support strengthening the role of children in SCMC national and international programs and projects.
  • Help accelerate national efforts toward realizing the SDGs by strengthening children's and adolescents' role in advocacy.
  • Engage with government and adolescent stakeholders through communication and presentation activities.

Minimum Requirements

  • A minimum of a master's degree in social sciences or an equivalent qualification.
  • Over five years of proven experience in child rights, SDG promotion, and training young people.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic.
  • Very good communication and presentation skills with government and adolescents are optional skills.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Previous work with the government sector or UN agencies is desirable, preferably with exposure to the Arab or Gulf region.
