Role Overview
The Multi-Scope Draftsperson reports to the Director of Drafting and Technical Support.
The role is responsible for meeting submittal dates and preparing shop drawings across multiple building-envelope scopes.
Responsibilities
- Review architectural, slab edge, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings before starting shop drawings.
- Attend scope-of-work meetings and coordinate approved samples with the Project Manager.
- Prepare and revise shop drawings according to schedules and internal or contractor reviews.
- Prepare engineer-review PDF sets and incorporate change requests and notices of potential risk.
- Prepare as-built shop drawings and RFIs for discrepancies, installation issues, and missing details.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Review site instructions for cost implications and follow up on outstanding RFIs.
- Attend coordination meetings and perform other tasks assigned by the Director of Drafting and Technical Support.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Architectural Technology or Civil Engineering.
- At least two years of drafting experience with window wall, curtain wall, railing, and metal cladding systems.
- Knowledge of relevant window wall, curtain wall, railing, and metal cladding products and systems.
