BAE Systems' Model Based Engineering Capability Group (MBE CG) is on a mission to transform the industry with cutting-edge Digital Engineering (DE) and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices. We're seeking a visionary MBE expert to join our team and help propel and lead this revolution forward. We are looking for a Model-based Engineering Capability Group (MBE CG) Section Leader in the Electronic Systems (ES) sector. In this "player-coach" role, you will be responsible for all aspects of a MBE CG team's performance in support of US Defense business areas, including the application of MBSE processes, tools, talent acquisition, and program performance. You will lead a small, borderless team through a digital transformation, splitting your time between people management and technical contributions on MBE programs or initiatives. As MBE CG Section Leader responsibilities will include:

Collaborate with business area peer managers to staff programs and IRADs with MBE CG team members.

Partner with the MBE CG Director and other MBE CG Section Leaders to develop strategies for optimizing organizational performance.

Identify and develop critical model-based engineering skills required to support MBE CG objectives.

Develop and lead continuous improvement activities and ensure adoption within the organization.

Monitor industry trends and best practices to ensure BAE Systems maintains technical discriminators.

Collaborate with Business Area Digital Engineering Leads on adoption strategy and implementation.

As an MBSE contributor, responsibilities will include:

Utilize knowledge of MBSE processes, tools, and modeling languages (e.g., SysML, UML, UAF) to solve complex technical problems

Guide programs through their total MBSE development activities

Build models using MBSE methodologies, best practices, and tools

Create validation rules and specialized searches in the model database

Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely
