BAE Systems' Model Based Engineering Capability Group (MBE CG) is on a mission to transform the industry with cutting-edge Digital Engineering (DE) and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices.
We're seeking a visionary MBE expert to join our team and help propel and lead this revolution forward.
We are looking for a Model-based Engineering Capability Group (MBE CG) Section Leader in the Electronic Systems (ES) sector.
In this "player-coach" role, you will be responsible for all aspects of a MBE CG team's performance in support of US Defense business areas, including the application of MBSE processes, tools, talent acquisition, and program performance.
You will lead a small, borderless team through a digital transformation, splitting your time between people management and technical contributions on MBE programs or initiatives.
As MBE CG Section Leader responsibilities will include:
• Collaborate with business area peer managers to staff programs and IRADs with MBE CG team members.
• Partner with the MBE CG Director and other MBE CG Section Leaders to develop strategies for optimizing organizational performance.
• Identify and develop critical model-based engineering skills required to support MBE CG objectives.
• Develop and lead continuous improvement activities and ensure adoption within the organization.
• Monitor industry trends and best practices to ensure BAE Systems maintains technical discriminators.
• Collaborate with Business Area Digital Engineering Leads on adoption strategy and implementation.
As an MBSE contributor, responsibilities will include:
• Utilize knowledge of MBSE processes, tools, and modeling languages (e.g., SysML, UML, UAF) to solve complex technical problems
• Guide programs through their total MBSE development activities
