Role Overview
The Maintenance Management System is IBM Maximo and supports asset management, system improvements, and complete and accurate data capture.
The MMS Database Administrator acts as an MMS champion and system gatekeeper across the business.
The role ensures changes follow testing and change management procedures and supports standards and best practices.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage daily MMS operations, including helpdesk tickets, user administration, and security group administration.
- Ensure system changes follow change management procedures and recommend improvements to system capability and data quality.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing and create scripts with pass/fail criteria.
- Develop technical documentation, procedures, work instructions, and training materials.
- Deliver MMS training across business functions and departments.
- Maintain MMS hardware and software and produce system performance reports.
- Work with stakeholders to identify root causes of system issues.
- Develop complex SQL queries for business-user requirements.
- Support and monitor third-party integrations.
- Deputise for the MMS Solution Architect Manager when required.
- Assist with business cases for strategic investment in systems, processes, and solutions.
