Key skills for this role
Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or other related discipline plus at least 20 years of systems engineering experience. A Master’s degree or PhD may be substituted for two years of experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 24 years of systems engineering experience would also be acceptable.
Experience in a broad range of systems engineering sub-disciplines (e.g., architecture, requirements, testing, analysis, etc.) in both operational and developmental environments.
Good interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate professionally and constructively with a wide range of technical contributors and customers coming from varied backgrounds and experiences.
Experience supporting and interacting with high-level government customers.
Broad experience with customer organizations and goals.
Experience applying MBSE and digital engineering.
Ability to facilitate government customer’s implementation of an Enterprise focused digital engineering Ecosystem. Knowledge or experience with how digital engineering Ecosystems have been implemented in other organizations is a strong plus
Position requires an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
Strong oral and written communication skills
A strong leader who is comfortable working in the background to advocate for positive change and who gauges success by the achievement of the individuals and organizations they are supporting.
Diplomatic communicator who can engage in discussion of challenging topics without rancor; can disagree without being disagreeable and who will act effectively to carry out decisions, once made, even when they do not align with their personal vision.
