Mini excavator and Bobcat Operator

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Bobcat or skid-steer loaders and mini excavators.
• Perform excavation, trenching, grading, leveling, and backfilling works.
• Load, move, and distribute soil, sand, aggregate, debris, and other materials.
• Operate buckets, breakers, forks, and other approved attachments where required.
• Excavate trenches for utilities, drainage, cables, signage, and infrastructure works.
• Work carefully around underground utilities, existing structures, workers, and other equipment.
• Follow drawings, site instructions, excavation permits, method statements, HSE requirements, and site safety procedures.
• Coordinate with site engineers, surveyors, supervisors, banksmen, and ground workers.
• Conduct daily pre-start and post-operation inspections.
• Check fluids, tyres or tracks, attachments, and other basic equipment conditions.
• Perform basic cleaning, greasing, routine maintenance, and equipment recordkeeping.
• Report breakdowns, hydraulic leaks, defects, or unsafe conditions immediately.

Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience operating Bobcat or skid-steer loaders and mini excavators.
• Road, infrastructure, utilities, earthworks, or civil construction experience is preferred.
• Valid UAE heavy equipment operator certification or licence, as applicable.
• Good knowledge of excavation, trenching, grading, and backfilling.
• Ability to understand basic site instructions and drawings.
• Knowledge of safe excavation practices and underground utility protection.
• Ability to perform basic equipment inspection and preventive maintenance.
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in UAE conditions.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• UAE experience is an advantage.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Bobcat, CAT, JCB, Kubota, Komatsu, Hitachi, or Takeuchi equipment.
• Experience operating hydraulic breaker and bucket attachments.
• Experience in road construction and utility works.
• Basic understanding of levels, grades, and excavation depths.
• Knowledge of GPS or machine-control equipment is an advantage.

Pay

• Pay is AED 1,675.33–AED 2,834.24 per month.
