The Position
We are seeking a licensed millwright; however, if no licensed candidates are available, qualified apprentices will be considered.
This is a permanent full-time position and is part of a collective bargaining unit. Some overtime and response to emergency callouts is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the successful applicant will be responsible for:
- Maintenance and repair of fixed equipment such as compressors, pumps, conveyors, fans, hydraulics, pneumatics, crushers and piping.
- Mechanical installations and troubleshooting of maintenance systems.
- Performing preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment.
- Working with maintenance programs, computer maintenance management systems and maintenance practices/procedures.
- Working safely in confined spaces, at heights and near open holes.
Skills and Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will possess:
- Certificate of Qualification as Millwright (red seal).
