Essential Job Functions
Conduct comprehensive research and analysis of global threat weapons systems, capabilities, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
Analyze foreign and adversary weapons systems to assess capabilities, limitations, vulnerabilities, employment concepts, and potential operational and strategic impacts.
Support joint and Service-level exercises, wargames, and operational planning by providing realistic Red Force capabilities, threat assessments, and opposing force planning inputs.
Develop and refine threat laydowns, engagement scenarios, and threat models that accurately represent adversary capabilities and operating environments.
Support the simulation and representation of Red Force capabilities to enhance the realism and effectiveness of exercises, wargames, and planning activities.
Collaborate with Blue Force analysts and other stakeholders to evaluate friendly system vulnerabilities against adversary weapons systems, capabilities, and tactics.
Integrate intelligence from multiple sources and disciplines to identify threat trends, intelligence gaps, emerging capabilities, and potential operational implications.
Develop and evaluate adversary Courses of Action (COAs), including the most likely and most dangerous scenarios, to support operational planning and decision-making.
Provide analytic expertise and recommendations to support threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, exercise development, and operational planning.
Produce and deliver clear, comprehensive, and actionable intelligence assessments, reports, briefings, and other analytic products addressing adversary capabilities and their operational and strategic implications.
Lead or contribute to analytic efforts addressing complex or critical weapons system and threat-related issues.
Required Skills
- Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with willingness to undergo a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph .
- Minimum of eight (8) years of experience conducting analysis relevant to this labor category, with a portion of that experience obtained within the past two (2) years.
- Bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
- Comprehensive mission knowledge and technical proficiency in weapons systems and threat analysis, supported by applicable developmental training and experience.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and communicate insights derived from information that may be incomplete, indirect, highly complex, technically advanced, or seemingly unrelated.
- Proven ability to structure analytic assessments using reporting trends and integrate diverse perspectives across analysts, organizations, intelligence disciplines, and data sources.
- Ability to work independently and effectively with minimal supervision or direction.
- Strong collaboration skills across the Intelligence Community (IC), including experience sharing information, informing and driving collection efforts, and resolving analytic disagreements.
- Demonstrated experience producing clear, insightful, comprehensive, and actionable analytic products in support of defense intelligence requirements.
- Proven ability to lead analytic teams addressing complex, high-priority, or mission-critical problems.
- Experience guiding the selection, design, and application of analytic methodologies, including evaluating arguments and applying validated analytic techniques to challenge assumptions, assess competing perspectives, and strengthen analytic conclusions.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex technical and intelligence assessments to operational, technical, and senior decision-making audiences.
