Position Overview

The Sales Manager is responsible for soliciting and processing sales opportunities, supporting business operations, and achieving sales objectives.

The role focuses on building long-term, value-based customer relationships and achieving individual sales targets.

Education and Experience

  • Either a two-year degree in business administration, marketing, hotel and restaurant management, or a related field with 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Alternatively, a four-year bachelor's degree in a related field with 1 year of relevant sales and marketing experience.

Relationship and Sales Activities

  • Coordinate with hotel sales channels so sales efforts are complementary and not duplicated.
  • Build relationships with existing and new customers through sales visits, entertainment, FAM trips, and trade shows.
  • Develop community relationships and manage key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide accurate turnover information to banquet management.
  • Participate in sales visits to obtain new business and close business.
  • Prepare proposals, contracts, and customer correspondence for booking operations.

Market and Revenue Management

  • Identify new business to achieve individual and hotel revenue targets.
  • Understand competitor strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand, and other market factors.
  • Identify the best opportunities for the hotel based on market conditions and hotel needs.
  • Understand target customers, their business issues, and their service expectations.

Customer Service

  • Support service and relationship strategies through excellent customer experiences.
  • Provide customer service that supports market share growth and customer loyalty.
  • Follow company customer service standards and daily service principles.
  • Interact with guests and obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
