Merchant Operations Responsibilities
- Manage merchant-services business-as-usual activities, including disputes, scheme reporting, fraud monitoring, reconciliations, and merchant onboarding.
- Define and document processes for sales support, merchant applications, onboarding, chargebacks, technical issues, and fraud prevention.
- Follow up on outstanding questions, issues, and discrepancies and prepare weekly and monthly performance reports.
- Lead staff in plans and activities that support merchant satisfaction.
- Clarify cross-organizational processes and represent customer issues and challenges.
- Own systems and processes involving user-facing components.
- Liaise with business units, technology teams, support teams, application vendors, and third-party vendors.
- Engage in multiple initiatives, follow bank procedures, and escalate unresolved problems appropriately.
- Coach team members on escalated issues and solutions.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Strong command of accounting and financial entries.
- Familiarity with SAMA, Visa, and Mastercard financial settlement rules.
- Thorough knowledge of Central Bank and other applicable rules and regulations.
- Sufficient knowledge of banking processes and back-office support for merchant operations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with regulators, vendors, IT teams, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
- Analytical problem-solving ability, including gathering and interpreting data.
- Ability to collaborate with teams, resolve issues, and make decisions under pressure.
