Position Overview
The employer is seeking an experienced MEP Mechanical Draftsman to join its construction team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed MEP mechanical shop drawings using AutoCAD.
- Prepare HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting layouts and drawings.
- Prepare coordination drawings based on architectural and structural drawings.
- Revise drawings according to site requirements, consultant comments, and project specifications.
- Prepare as-built drawings based on actual site conditions.
- Coordinate with MEP engineers, site teams, and other disciplines to resolve drawing-related issues.
- Ensure drawings comply with project specifications and approved designs.
- Maintain proper records of drawings and revisions.
- Support engineering and site teams with required drawings and technical documentation.
Requirements
- Diploma or ITI in mechanical engineering or a relevant qualification.
- 6–8 years of experience as an MEP Mechanical Draftsman in construction or MEP projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Good knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
- Ability to read and understand MEP, architectural, and structural drawings.
- Experience preparing shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings.
- UAE construction experience is preferred.
