Role Overview
The employer is seeking an experienced MEP Coordination Draftsman for a construction team.
The role prepares, coordinates, and updates MEP drawings while supporting coordination between mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other building services.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed MEP shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings.
- Coordinate MEP drawings with architectural and structural drawings.
- Identify and resolve clashes between different MEP services.
- Prepare layouts, sections, details, and installation drawings.
- Revise drawings based on site requirements, consultant comments, and project changes.
- Coordinate with MEP engineers, site teams, and other disciplines.
- Assist with drawings for authority and consultant submissions.
- Maintain records of drawing revisions and updates.
- Conduct site visits when required to verify actual site conditions.
- Ensure drawings comply with project specifications and relevant standards.
Requirements
- Diploma or relevant qualification in mechanical, electrical, or MEP drafting.
- At least 5 years of experience in MEP drafting and coordination, preferably in UAE construction projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory.
