Position Overview
The role oversees MEP design coordination, technical review, construction, testing, and commissioning throughout the project lifecycle.
The position combines MEP management and design review responsibilities.
Design and Coordination
- Review MEP designs, drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical submissions.
- Coordinate MEP systems with architectural, structural, and other engineering disciplines.
- Ensure designs comply with project requirements, codes, standards, and authority regulations.
- Review contractor and consultant submissions, shop drawings, materials, and technical proposals.
Construction and Commissioning
- Monitor MEP installation, quality, progress, testing, and commissioning.
- Identify and resolve design, coordination, and technical issues.
- Provide technical advice to project teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Support value engineering, design optimization, and cost-effective MEP solutions.
- Review MEP variations and assess technical and project implications.
Documentation and Handover
- Ensure proper documentation, as-built drawings, testing records, and handover requirements.
Education and Experience
- A degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, MEP, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline is required.
- Proven experience as an MEP Manager, MEP Design Reviewer, MEP Engineer, or similar role is required.
- Experience in construction, consultancy, property development, or large-scale projects is preferred.
Technical Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, design coordination, construction, and commissioning is required.
- Good understanding of relevant codes, standards, and authority requirements is required.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, Navisworks, or similar software is advantageous.
- Professional engineering qualifications are advantageous.
Core Skills
- Strong technical, analytical, coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills are required.
