MEP BIM Coordinator - Remote

We are first BIM Level 2 Certified Consultancy in the UK and Ireland and deliver projects from our four offices in Ireland – Cork, Limerick, Galway & Dublin, our UK office based in London and our Istanbul Office based in Turkey.

EDC has also seen significant recent expansion overseas in the African Market.

• 4+ years of experience in an MEP Building Consultancy or BIM Production Company.
• 4+ years of experience producing drawings using 3D Modelling tools, ideally, at least 3 years using REVIT MEP. Navisworks.
• Experience in commercial, residential, educational, healthcare and industrial projects.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, Digital Engineering, or related field.
• Familiarity with ISO 19650 standards and digital project delivery frameworks.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.

• Possess a good knowledge of the practicalities of design, and the ability to make informed design decisions.
• An understanding of the overall workings of BIM modelling is essential, and the ability to fill in for senior staff when required, e.g., model set-up and management.
• Basic understanding of LEAN principles, ISO 19650 and Information Management – Cobie/IFC Delivery.
• Use Autodesk Revit tools to present design and engineering solutions.
• Naviswork Clash – detection process for MEP Coordination,
• Schematics Production in AutoCAD from Floor plan / Mark up.
• Document all designs in accordance with requirements of design practice manuals.
• Manage own continuous development and support the development of colleagues.
• Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple jobs/tasks.
• Drive excellence through high-quality work.
• Proactive approach to work with a strong team spirit.
• Confident to speak up and make decisions.

• Design management of projects as appropriate to ensure deadlines are met.
• Carry out M&E design work as applicable using REVIT MEP and Navis delivering constructible 3D clash free models for EDC’s clients.
• Produce Revit models coordinated with architectural and structural designs.
• Assist the project lead in preparing calculations and construction documentation.
• Research, plan, design and develop building engineering systems, including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing and electrical, in strict consultation and coordination with the project lead.
• Ensure BIM & CAD standards are upheld
