- Mechatronics and Process Controls Engineer with 5-8 years of experience in developing and optimizing control solutions for temperature, pressure, flow, and vacuum systems used in semiconductor equipment and advanced industrial automation. Expertise in control loop design, process modeling, system identification, PID/Model Based control design/tuning, and performance optimization for heaters, control valves, Mass Flow Controllers (MFCs), pressure controllers, and process instrumentation.
- Strong background in MATLAB/Simulink, data analysis, and control system validation. Experience collaborating with process, mechanical, electrical, software, and systems engineering teams to deliver reliable, high-performance process control solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and validate control algorithms for temperature, pressure, flow, and vacuum control systems.
- Develop dynamic control models and perform system identification for thermal, fluid, and gas delivery systems.
- Tune and optimize PID, cascade, feedforward, and advanced process control strategies.
- Integrate and characterize MFCs, pressure sensors, control valves, heaters, pumps, and other process instrumentation.
- Analyze system performance, troubleshoot control issues, conduct root cause investigations, and implement corrective actions.
- Support laboratory testing, data collection, validation, and equipment qualification activities.
- Develop diagnostics, monitoring, and predictive maintenance solutions using data-driven approaches.
- Prepare technical documentation, design reviews, and validation reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Chemical, or Control Systems Engineering.
- 5-8 years of experience in process controls, automation, instrumentation, or semiconductor equipment.
- Strong understanding of PID control, Model Based Controls, Process dynamics, system identification, and controller tuning.
- Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, Python, or equivalent analysis and modeling tools.
- Experience with temperature controllers, pressure controllers, MFCs, control valves, vacuum systems, and process instrumentation.
- Semiconductor equipment experience preferred.
