Job Overview
- Perform a wide range of duties relating to mechanical installation, repair and maintenance of machinery, equipment and fixtures to ensure efficient operation at minimum downtime complying with EHS Guidelines.
Key Accountabilities
- Tackles all mechanical equipment breakdowns and planned/preventive/predictive maintenance work.
- Technically assesses the requirement of allocated jobs and selects necessary tools and equipment.
- Ensures all maintenance work is carried out in accordance with safety procedures and plant operational requirements.
- Uses SAP to order spare parts and maintains records of all maintenance work completed.
- Monitors repeated breakdowns and recommends/completes proper modifications.
- Identifies and reports abnormalities; initiates repairs/replacements/tests/assembles worn out components.
- Performs various works related to welding and fabrication.
- Mentors newly joined mechanics.
- Works towards improving EHS and Plant & Equipment Performance.
- Assists other departments in repair and troubleshooting.
- Inputs data into maintenance management systems.
- Fulfils day/shift duties with a team of Technicians/Craftsmen/Contractors.
