We are currently seeking a Mechanical Site Engineer - Buildings to join the Industrial buildings team. This opportunity is full-time, on-site at the North Shore Wastewater Treatment Plant. The link below can be used to view further details of this exciting and complex project:

North Shore Wastewater Treatment Plant Program | Metro Vancouver

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve construction issues.

Working knowledge of compliance with regulatory standards.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Knowledge of automation and control systems, such as SCADA and BMS.

Requisite knowledge and application of applicable building codes and applicable building and energy codes.

General understanding of all phases of project document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications.

Strong knowledge of mechanical systems means and methods, materials, and industry standards.

Ability to check the work of others for accuracy and completeness and manage time to meet project budget and schedule.

Ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thought.

Thorough understanding of mechanical engineering concepts and ability to effectively communicate ideas to other

Advanced oral and written communication skills

Requires understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, Revit, AutoCAD, Revizto, and heat load calculation software.

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.

7+ years of experience in Building mechanical/HVAC, preference for people with construction, building experience (non WWTP is acceptable) and commissioning.

Licensed Professional Engineer, or ability to become registered as a P.Eng with EGBC immediately.

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
