We are seeking a licensed Senior Project Engineer (PE) with expertise in mechanical systems, specifically HVAC and plumbing design. This role exercises independent technical judgment to provide mechanical technical oversight and resolve complex technical challenges, supporting project teams through technical leadership, project delivery, mentorship, quality oversight, and problem-solving. Additionally, the role leads and supports business development efforts related to mechanical engineering services, identifying opportunities, shaping pursuit strategies, and contributing to proposals and client discussions to support local and regional growth..
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license, multi-state licensure preferred or ability to obtain licensure within multiple states.
Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible mechanical engineering experience, including demonstrated technical knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems design.
In-depth understanding of mechanical engineering principles, building codes, and environmental regulations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly to clients and team members and develop technical documents from scratch.
Demonstrated ability to manage projects effectively, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Ability to travel as required.

10+ years of Mechanical Engineering experience in water and/or wastewater treatment.
AutoCAD + REVIT experience.
Building energy modeling experience.
Project management experience.
Scope and fee development specific to mechanical design.
Ability to walk up to 3-miles on uneven terrain
Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist
Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight
May require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds
Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
May be required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to, flame resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear
May require occasional evenings and weekends with overtime expectations varying with workload
May be required to travel to off-site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town
