- Perform Quality Inspections as per defined standards, Final Check and Attestation, Stop Points, Out of sequence work
- Contribute to investigations and root cause analysis into quality issues
- Ensure Operational Surveillance (people, product and process)
- Provide feedback and coaching to Operations & Support Functions on Quality issues
- Actively participate in process improvements
- Execute technical inspections in the production process of the aircraft
- Prepare and perform visual, incoming, first article, final inspections during aircraft manufacture
- Document technical inspections in FLEXNET/NCMS/SAP production orders
- Support troubleshooting, Functional Test Procedures (FTPs) and participate in Quality Survey requests
- Compile technical data of non conformance to launch NCMS based quality discrepancy sheets
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 5 years of experience in an aviation company with emphasis on mechanical and/or structural components and assemblies
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems
- Knowledge of drawing systems, inspection plans, and inspection coordination
- Knowledge of principles, practices, methods and tools used in production line
- Handling and use of inspection tools for length measuring techniques
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant License with inspection authorization (preferred)
- Experience in a Quality Inspector position (preferred)

Job Description
- Airbus US Manufacturing Facility is looking for an A220 Mechanical Quality Inspector (2nd Shift) in Mobile, AL.
- Responsible for execution and confirmation of quality inspections as part of the production process with emphasis on aircraft structural assemblies and components.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to investigations and root cause analysis into reported quality issues.
- Perform Quality Inspections as per defined standards, Final Check and Attestation, Stop Points, Out of sequence work.
- Ensure Operational Surveillance (people, product and process).
- Provide feedback and coaching to Operations & Support Functions on Quality issues.
- Actively participate in process improvements.
- Execute technical inspections in the production process of the aircraft.
- Prepare and perform visual, incoming, first article, final inspections during aircraft manufacture.
- Document technical inspections in FLEXNET/NCMS/SAP production orders.
- Support troubleshooting, Functional Test Procedures (FTPs) and participate in Quality Survey requests.
- Compile technical data of non conformance to launch NCMS based quality discrepancy sheets.
- Document all results of technical inspector in FLEXNET/NCMS/SAP based IT system.
- Attain skills to perform audits of Non Conformance Rework Orders as part of Material Review Board (MRB).
Your Boarding Pass
- High school diploma or GED.
- 5 years of experience in an aviation company with emphasis on mechanical and/or structural components and assemblies.
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems.
- Knowledge of drawing systems, inspection plans, and inspection coordination.
- Knowledge of principles, practices, methods and tools used in production line.
- Handling and use of inspection tools for length measuring techniques (mechanical, electrical).
- Relevant Airline/Aviation experience is desirable.
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant License, including inspection authorization is preferred.
- Experience in a Quality Inspector position is preferred.
