Responsibilities
- Inspect installation of pumps, valves, pipes, supports, irrigation networks, mechanical equipment, and related infrastructure elements
- Verify mechanical works against approved drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs, quality requirements, and safety standards
- Review inspection requests, material delivery records, equipment datasheets, checklists, testing records, and as built information
- Identify installation defects, non compliant works, equipment issues, and unsafe conditions, and follow up corrective actions with contractors
- Support pressure testing, pump testing, functional verification, commissioning checks, snagging, and handover activities
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, QA/QC teams, and commissioning teams during inspections and close out activities
- Prepare daily inspection reports, site observations, punch lists, and progress updates
- Support project close out by verifying completion of inspection records, testing documentation, and handover submissions
Requirements
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- At least 5 years of proven work experience in mechanical inspection for pumping stations, irrigation systems, and infrastructure projects
- Good knowledge of pump installation, irrigation networks, valves, piping, supports, mechanical equipment, pressure testing, and commissioning activities
- Ability to inspect works in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs, and safety requirements
- Strong site observation and documentation skills, with the ability to identify defects and follow up corrective actions
- Excellent coordination and communication skills with engineers, contractors, QA/QC teams, and commissioning teams
- Mechanical inspection experience in pumping and irrigation works, preferably fluent in Arabic and English (spoken and written)

Job Description
