Mechanical Fitter

Provide safe and effective mechanical maintenance across the SX/EW plant and utilities to support reliable plant operation and equipment availability. Working within a skilled maintenance team, you will perform planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance to ensure the safe, reliable and efficient operation of the processing plant Role Details and Benefits Location: Nifty Copper Complex Roster: 8/6 Competitive benefits package including: Paid Parental Leave for primary carers Retail discounts (including homewares, outdoor gear, fuel and groceries) Novated leases Comprehensive wellbeing program Responsibilities Perform planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance across the SX/EW plant and utility systems. Inspect, fault-find and repair fixed plant equipment to maintain safe and reliable operations. Conduct routine equipment inspections and identify defects before they impact production. Respond to breakdowns and return equipment to service safely and efficiently. Support shutdowns, major maintenance activities and reliability improvement initiatives. Complete maintenance documentation and maintain accurate records in Pronto. Work collaboratively with Operations, Planning and Engineering teams. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with site safety standards, procedures and isolations. What You’ll Bring Mechanical Fitter Trade Qualification Experience in industrial or process plant maintenance Strong experience with pumps, bearings, piping and rotating equipment Sound mechanical troubleshooting and fault-finding skills Experience with acid/chemical systems, SX/EW or hydrometallurgical plants highly regarded Alignment, rigging/dogging and condition monitoring experience desirable Pronto or similar CMMS experience desirable Strong team player with the ability to work autonomously when required Commitment to safe work practices and high-quality workmanship Demonstrated ability to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives Proven commitment to safety and operational excellence Why Macmahon?
