About the Role

Responsibilities
- Advise and support Mechanical Engineering activities during start up phase until handover to permanent Asset
- Provide mechanical engineering support including design reviews, commissioning, start up, failure analysis, advanced troubleshooting, and develop work packs
- Define and document best practices within the area of expertise and recommend performance improvement initiatives
- Develop plans and work schedules to ensure effective completion of tasks and activities
- Provide technical input related to area of expertise to other disciplines and functions
- Control and supervise activities undertaken by contractors, consultants and service providers
- Guide less experienced engineers in implementing company integrity and reliability systems
- Support and facilitate smooth completion of project tie in requirements
- Maintain Issue Register identifying and resolving critical issues including new technology risks
- Provide Management of Change related technical support to assigned Assets
- Participate in Safety Workshops, Cold Eye Reviews, Value Improvement Workshops, RCFA, SBRAs, risk screening, and FRA
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent
- 8 years' experience in an oil and gas environment
- Attained specialist level of competencies as per Mechanical Technical Competencies
- Able to work and make decisions under highly stressing conditions
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Strong leadership & people skills
- Computer literacy involving regular use of professional office and technical applications

Qualifications
