Role Overview
Lead and manage mechanical engineering activities on construction projects.
Ensure planning, execution, testing, commissioning, quality, HSE, and compliance with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead installation, testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning of mechanical equipment and systems.
- Review and approve specifications, drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documents.
- Plan work sequencing and ensure approved drawings, materials, equipment, and resources are available.
- Manage Technical Queries, RFIs, deviations, concessions, waiver requests, and exemption lists.
- Perform and review material take-offs and support procurement and planning teams.
- Coordinate with project teams, clients, consultants, subcontractors, vendors, and Third-Party Inspectors.
- Identify mechanical scope changes and variations and support technical agreements.
- Prepare and implement procedures, method statements, ITPs, and work instructions.
- Provide onsite supervision and guidance during construction, testing, and commissioning.
- Monitor progress, approvals, inspections, and handover readiness.
- Lead punch lists, mechanical completion, and closeout documentation.
- Mentor junior engineers and support their technical development.
