- The Tactical Radars department within Raytheon Hardware Engineering supports the development, production, and deployment of multiple defense products including radars, missiles, command and control systems, and naval electronics. The products support US Government and international customers. This Mechanical Engineer Product Team role will support the Sentinel radar product line based in Fullerton, CA and may require domestic and international travel to suppliers. This position will be an onsite role.
What You Will Do
- Working within a team environment to develop innovative mechanical subsystems with solid modeling practices and drawing creation using CAD tools such as Creo Parametric, Solidworks, or equivalent.
- Develop preliminary sketches, diagrams, and other engineering information to generate 3-D design models and/or conceptual designs
- Exposure to solid modeling practices and drawing creation using CAD tools such as Creo Parametric, Solidworks, or equivalent.
- Provide Mechanical Engineering solutions on production issues to functional leadership and engagement for resources (Subject Matter Experts, etc.) to resolve production issues rapidly and efficiently.
- Collaborate with functional team leads for the integration efforts across the Cross Product Teams in the Sentinel portfolio to ensure successful system design, integration, production and program execution.
- Provide radar technical data package (TDP) support that includes design, development, manufacturing, and failure investigation solutions
