Responsibilities:
- Design, analyze, and test mechanical components and systems using CAD and simulation software.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, electrical engineering, and quality assurance to develop integrated solutions.
- Conduct feasibility studies, performance analysis, and failure mode evaluations to ensure product reliability and safety.
- Develop and review detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation to support manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Participate in prototype development and hands-on testing to validate design concepts.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies throughout the product lifecycle.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting during production and post-production phases.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product efficiency and reducing costs.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with simulation and analysis tools like FEA, CFD, or thermal analysis software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with a commitment to fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment.
- Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO or ASME is advantageous.
