Mechanical BIM Engineer / Modeller

Role Overview

BIM and Modeling Responsibilities

• Manage BIM information quality and accuracy according to required standards and levels of detail.
• Use Revit and Navisworks for BIM modeling and coordination.
• Model structural, mechanical, and electrical elements, including RCC and structural steel components.
• Model openings, stairs, platforms, trenches, chambers, roads, and pavements.
• Manage model setup, families, and worksets.
• Produce 2D construction drawings, details, sections, and schedules.
• Review modeling issues and coordinate across engineering disciplines to resolve them.

Technical Requirements

• Experience with Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical detailing using Revit.
• Knowledge of pipe materials, piping systems, and pipe fittings.
• Knowledge of cable trays, conduits, cable trenches, and cable ducts.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD is required.
• Experience handling Point Cloud data is an added advantage.

Candidate Specification

• Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• Water industry experience with UK-specific experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of Bentley ProjectWise or BIM 360 is an added advantage.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to coordinate with supply chain and vendors.
• Professional attitude, self-motivation, and multidisciplinary coordination skills.
