Job Description

• Plan and design building-services elements for the firefighting and gas disciplines.
• Perform design and calculations using NFPA, IS, BS, Middle East, and local standards.
• Coordinate design and modelling outputs across disciplines.
• Complete design deliverables within project timelines and company quality procedures.
• Use digital automation for firefighting services through Dynamo scripting or Python where applicable.

Candidate Specification

• Hold a B.E. or B.Tech degree in mechanical or fire safety engineering.
• Have four to eight years of firefighting or gas services engineering design experience.
• Have knowledge of other MEP services and experience on major building or infrastructure projects.
• Design and check internal and external firefighting, sprinkler, spray, hydrant, extinguisher, foam, and clean-agent systems.
• Produce and check drawings and calculations independently.
• Have knowledge of relevant international codes and regulations.
• Have good oral and written communication skills and liaise directly with clients.
• Have experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
• Knowledge of ANZ, AS, UAE, SBC, AECOsim/OpenBuildings, Dynamo, Python, or hydraulic calculation software is advantageous where stated.
