Role Overview
The employer is seeking a Mechanical BIM Engineer to contribute to ongoing engineering projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- BIM or Revit courses.
- Minimum five years of total experience, including five years of UAE experience.
- Strong mechanical BIM and Revit experience covering HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection systems.
- Engineering consultancy experience is preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain 3D BIM models for mechanical systems using Autodesk Revit.
- Model to LOD 300 through LOD 400 and meet fabrication and installation tolerances.
- Create custom parametric Revit families for mechanical equipment and components.
- Resolve design conflicts by adjusting ductwork, piping, clearances, and layouts digitally.
- Participate in multidisciplinary coordination meetings and present clash reports.
- Prepare HVAC cooling load, pressure drop, and pipe sizing calculations.
- Extract BOQs and MTOs from BIM models.
- Prepare annotated 2D drawings, schematics, and typical details from Revit.
- Perform equipment sizing and selection and prepare equipment schedules.
- Review drawings for compliance with UAE Fire and Life Safety Code, ASHRAE, and NFPA standards.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 6,000 to AED 10,000 per month.
