About the Role
Acciona is hiring a Mechanical Assistant/Helper in Doha to assist with preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical equipment in industrial environments. The role requires basic mechanical knowledge, physical fitness, and a high school certificate.

Responsibilities
- Assist in preventive and corrective maintenance of pumps, motors, valves, pipelines, pressure vessels, and other mechanical equipment
- Support technicians during equipment overhauling, alignment, dismantling, and assembly activities
- Carry tools, spare parts, and maintenance materials to work locations
- Clean and maintain mechanical workshops, equipment rooms, and work areas
- Assist in lubrication, inspection, and routine servicing of plant equipment
- Help with installation and replacement of gaskets, bearings, seals, and pipe fittings
- Participate in plant shutdown and startup activities under supervision
- Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) and other safety procedures
- Report equipment abnormalities, leaks, unusual noises, or defects to supervisors
- Support housekeeping and ensure work areas remain clean and safe
- Assist in handling and moving equipment using proper lifting techniques and tools
- Maintain maintenance records and complete assigned work orders when required
Requirements
- High School / Secondary School Certificate
- Basic knowledge of mechanical tools and equipment
- Physically fit and able to work in industrial environments
- Ability to work in shifts and as part of a team
- Understanding of workplace safety practices
- ITI, Diploma, or vocational training in Mechanical Engineering, Fitter, or related trade preferred
- Experience in water treatment, wastewater treatment, or desalination plants, Oil & gas / industrial backgrounds preferred

Educational Requirements
- High School / Secondary School Certificate.
