About the Role
Swiss PRO Foundations seeks an experienced Mechanic for piling operations to inspect, maintain, and repair piling rigs and heavy construction equipment. Candidates need 3-5 years of experience in piling or heavy equipment, strong knowledge of hydraulic systems and diesel engines, and ability to work at project sites.

Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on piling rigs, cranes, excavators, generators, compressors, and other heavy construction equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and diesel engine faults
- Repair and overhaul engines, transmissions, gearboxes, hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinders, and other mechanical components
- Conduct routine inspections to identify equipment defects and recommend preventive maintenance
- Replace worn or damaged mechanical parts to ensure safe and reliable equipment operation
- Read and interpret technical manuals, equipment drawings, and maintenance documentation
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, and spare parts usage
- Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and operators regarding equipment performance and maintenance schedules
- Ensure all maintenance work complies with company safety procedures and manufacturer recommendations
- Assist in mobilization and demobilization of piling equipment between project sites
- Maintain housekeeping of workshop and tools while ensuring proper storage of equipment and spare parts
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize project delays
Requirements
- Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering, Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Maintenance, or a related technical qualification
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Mechanic in the piling, foundation, construction, or heavy equipment industry
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, diesel engines, heavy machinery, and mechanical components
- Ability to diagnose mechanical failures and perform repairs independently
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance planning and equipment servicing schedules
- Ability to read technical manuals, hydraulic schematics, and mechanical drawings
- Good troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Physically fit and willing to work at construction project sites
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in the construction industry
