KSA's/Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated understanding of mathematics foundations (arithmetic, algebra, trigonometry, calculus, and statistics) necessary for success in associates degrees and certificate level career and technical programs and courses.
• Familiarity with word processing and spreadsheet software, databases, and electronic communications.
• Proficiency with graphing calculators.
• Excellent communication and strong listening skills
• Excellent interpersonal and time management skills.
• Analytic problem-solving skills.
• Ability to create a safe and engaging learning environment.
• Patience, flexibility, ability to vary teaching methods and resources according to student needs.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaborate with a team.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate study strategies to ensure academic success. Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend hours.
• Demonstrated math teaching and/or tutorial experience at the high school or two-year college level.
• Demonstrated understanding of the pedagogical principles in working with adult learners and underserved populations. Experience working with adult learners and underserved populations.
• Experience with learning management systems such as Canvas or Blackboard.
