Role Overview
IEM is currently seeking a Materials Supervisor for our San Antonio, Texas location and will report into the VP of Supply Chain.
This position will be based temporarily in NE San Antonio while our new manufacturing plant is coming online.
Our permanent location is approximately 25 minutes away at Brooks, 7515 Inner Circle Dr., San Antonio, 78235.
The position is also 100% in-office and does not offer remote work.
The Materials Supervisor is responsible for supervising the day-to-day materials operations, ensuring the safe, accurate, and uninterrupted flow of materials from receipt through supermarket inventory, point-of-use replenishment, production support, WIP, and final product shipment.
This role oversees the team members and daily execution needed to maintain material availability, inventory accuracy, and production support.
The Materials Supervisor is expected to be a hands-on leader who supervises daily materials activities and supports continuous improvement efforts.
The role partners closely with Supply Chain, Planning, Purchasing, Production, Engineering, and Quality to resolve material constraints, support material flow, participate in Kaizen initiatives, and help maintain standardized processes that support operational excellence.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, industrial engineering, or a related discipline; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
- 4+ years of experience in materials management, inventory control, warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
- 2+ years of experience supervising or leading a team in a warehouse, materials, inventory, or manufacturing environment.
- Experience supporting or participating in lean warehouse and material replenishment systems, including PFEP, Kanban, supermarket, pull, and point-of-use concepts.
- Experience participating in Kaizen events and structured problem-solving efforts.
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems for inventory and materials planning; SAP, Oracle, or Infor Syteline experience is a plus.
- APICS CPIM/CSCP, Six Sigma, or Lean Manufacturing certification is preferred.
- Demonstrated career ambition with a track record of growth and increasing responsibility; highly promotable with the potential to take on broader leadership roles within a fast-paced, high-growth organization.
