Who Are You?

The Materials Manager is responsible for the strategic planning, coordination, and execution of all material-related activities within the shop floor.

This role oversees inventory management, shipping and receiving functions, material flow, warehouse operations, production support, and shop floor capacity planning to ensure materials are available to meet customer demands while optimizing inventory levels and operational efficiency.

The Materials Manager will work closely with Production, Purchasing, Engineering, and Logistics teams to maintain uninterrupted manufacturing operations, improve material utilization, and support on-time delivery performance.

What Will You Do?

• Monitor inventory accuracy through cycle counting programs, physical inventories, and reconciliation processes.
• Oversee and control all inventory, including stock in the yard.
• Analyze inventory trends, usage patterns, and material requirements to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Establish and maintain inventory policies, safety stock levels, reorder points, and inventory KPIs.
• Manage excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory reduction initiatives.
• Ensure inventory transactions are accurately maintained within inventory management/ERP system.
• Lead and supervise all shipping, receiving, warehouse, and material handling activities.
