Material Handler

Responsibilities

• Operation: Certified and able to operate a forklift while adhering to all safety protocols. Safely transport products in bins, bales, cartons, or on skids between workstations, ensuring timely delivery to meet the production schedule. Monitor the production schedule to track material requirements, movements, and deliveries across departments. Load, unload, and relocate materials, ensuring proper stacking, accurate documentation, and secured loads. Monitor loads for hazardous waste and report any issues or concerns to the Team Lead or Supervisor.

• Load, unload, and relocate materials, ensuring proper stacking, accurate documentation, and secured loads.
• Monitor loads for hazardous waste and report any issues or concerns to the Team Lead or Supervisor.
• Pre-Use Inspection & Maintenance: Perform pre-shift forklift inspections and complete the inspection sheet in eCompliance, ensuring all logs are maintained. Inspect forklifts and other equipment for any issues with brakes, controls, battery, tires, and fluid levels, and report defects immediately. Identifyand report any non-conformance or irregularities in maintenance logs to the Team Lead or Supervisor. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring materials are stored properly and accessible for retrieval while following safety guidelines and company policies. Follow lockout/tagout procedures when required for maintenance.
• Perform pre-shift forklift inspections and complete the inspection sheet in eCompliance, ensuring all logs are maintained.
• Inspect forklifts and other equipment for any issues with brakes, controls, battery, tires, and fluid levels, and report defects immediately.
• Identifyand report any non-conformance or irregularities in maintenance logs to the Team Lead or Supervisor.
