Role Overview
RIMOWA is hiring a Material Handler for its Materials CREW at the Cambridge facility.
The position reports to the Warehouse Manager within the Supply Chain department.
The status is contract, with expected hours of 40 per week and an eight-hour day shift from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Key Responsibilities
- Replenish production-line materials, equipment, and stock.
- Load, unload, and move materials using manual methods, forklifts, and other powered equipment.
- Follow production schedules and prepare materials for line-side supply.
- Keep production lines stocked and flowing properly.
- Pick, sort, pack, crate, and package materials.
- Remove scrap and route it for disposal.
- Perform light assembly and prepare raw materials for production.
- Clean work areas and equipment and perform housekeeping.
- Assist with training new staff on requirements and safety procedures.
- Complete WMS transfers and adjustments, spreadsheet updates, printing, and phone answering.
Candidate Profile
- Counterbalance forklift certification is required.
- Strong multitasking, organization, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills are required.
- The preferred candidate is self-motivated, energetic, organized, collaborative, and able to work independently.
- Ability to differentiate between colour samples is required.
- Ability to maintain accurate manual and computerized counts is required.
- Ability to adapt, learn quickly, and follow production schedules is required.
- One to two years of inventory and manufacturing experience is an asset.
- Microsoft Excel and other application software experience is an asset.
Working Conditions
- The role is performed in person at the Cambridge facility.
- Work involves pressure, a fast pace, attention to detail, teamwork, problem solving, decision making, memory use, and continuous learning.
- Work includes moderate lifting, manual dexterity, extended standing, repetitive tasks, reading, documentation, numeracy, writing, and oral communication.
