The employer is hiring a Material Controller in Qatar through a recruitment consultancy.
The role focuses on material planning, coordination, procurement support, and ERP-based material control.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate receipt, storage, issue, and movement of materials for operational activities.
- Monitor material requirements and ensure availability against project or production schedules.
- Maintain inventory and material transaction records in SAP or another ERP system.
- Coordinate with procurement, stores, planning, and operational teams on requirements and shortages.
- Track purchase orders, deliveries, pending materials, and stock availability.
- Verify material documentation, quantities, identification details, and inventory records.
- Prepare material status, shortage, consumption, and inventory reports.
- Support inventory control and reduce shortages, excess stock, and material discrepancies.
Required Skills
- Plan and monitor material requirements against operational needs.
- Coordinate materials between procurement, stores, planning, and user departments.
- Support purchasing processes, purchase orders, delivery tracking, and supplier coordination.
- Use SAP or another ERP system for material and inventory transactions.
- Maintain stock records and monitor material availability and movement.
Preferred Skills
- Material requirement planning and shortage analysis.
- Inventory reconciliation and material documentation.
- Exposure to engineering, industrial, or project-based material environments.
Work Experience and Education
- At least 3 years of experience in material planning, material coordination, or procurement.
- SAP or another ERP system experience is required.
- Minimum ITI, trade apprenticeship, or higher secondary education.
- A diploma in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
