Role overview
The Associate role supports systematic trading activities in the commodities business.
The position focuses on software tools, interfaces, frameworks, strategies, and analytical systems used by trading teams.
Role responsibilities
- Build and maintain tools, user interfaces, and frameworks for systematic commodities trading.
- Build and maintain systematic strategies and performance monitoring and attribution systems.
- Enhance the robustness and integration of tools and models within wider asset-class efforts.
- Process, clean, and analyze large datasets used for alpha research.
- Work with traders to understand and improve relevant tools and models.
Required qualifications
- Extensive professional software development experience focused on Python.
- Experience with data analysis techniques, data science libraries, and visualization tools such as NumPy, pandas, Dash, and Panel.
- Knowledge of KDB database systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with traders, quantitative researchers, and software developers.
- Exceptional attention to detail and outstanding work ethic.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
