- Manage operation of main propulsion engines, auxiliary engines, boilers, and all shipboard mechanical systems
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
- Ensure compliance with MARPOL, SOLAS, and STCW regulations
- Manage fuel consumption, bunker operations, and bilge water management
- Serve as key member of emergency response team and conduct drills
- Maintain engine room logs, inventory records, and technical reports
- Supervise engine room staff including fitters, oilers, and junior engineers

Responsibilities
- Manage the operation of main propulsion engines, auxiliary engines, boilers, and all shipboard mechanical systems.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems in accordance with the Planned Maintenance System (PMS).
- Ensure full compliance with MARPOL, SOLAS, and STCW regulations.
- Manage fuel consumption, bunker operations, and bilge water management.
- Serve as a key member of the emergency response team; conduct regular drills and ensure fire fighting and life saving equipment are operational.
- Maintain accurate engine room logs, inventory records, and technical reports for fleet management.
- Supervise engine room staff, including fitters, oilers, and junior engineers, ensuring a culture of safety and excellence.
