Manual Software QA

Requirements

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to test software applications thoroughly and systems
• Identify, document, and track software defects and issues using bug tracking systems
• Collaborate with the development team to understand product requirements and provide input on test ability and usability aspects during the design phase
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing to ensure software meets quality standards
• Conduct manual exploratory testing to uncover any potential issues that may have been missed during structured testing
• Develop and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test data
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve any issues and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software
• Participate in product and feature reviews to provide feedback on quality-related aspects
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in manual testing methodologies, tools, and technologies
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the QA process and promote best practices within the team
• Working knowledge of JIRA or other relevant testing tools is must

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Manual QA Test Engineer or in a similar role
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes
• Proficient in creating and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts
• Experience with bug tracking systems and test management tools
• Solid knowledge of functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
