Controls and Improvement

• Maintain operational risk controls, procedures, governance trackers, management information, and audit actions.
• Review job aids, standard operating procedures, process notes, checklists, and escalation matrices.
• Participate in process improvement, migration, onboarding, technology upgrades, and user acceptance testing.

People Leadership

• Manage team member performance through regular discussions and appraisal processes.
• Resolve staff issues, improve productivity, support cross-training, and maintain succession planning.
• Lead the team in delivering client service, continuous improvement, and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant funds administration experience.
• Strong understanding of trade processing, capital markets, financial instruments, accounting, and fund accounting.
• Experience performing and reviewing funds in investment operations, accounting, or valuations.
• Working knowledge of accounting and valuation platforms such as SimCorp Dimension.
• Ability to manage teams, meet operational goals, prioritize workloads, and work flexible shifts.

Knowledge and Skills

• Strong knowledge of cash reconciliation, investment accounting, investment valuations, and financial statements.
• Knowledge of custody, brokerage, depository, mutual funds, reconciliations, and operational risk.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Bloomberg or Reuters.
• Strong analytical, communication, time management, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Working Environment

• The role interfaces with Markets and Securities Services departments and HSBC global offices.
• The individual may need to work across jurisdictions and cultures and respond to additional business needs.
